RIVERDALE

And so the dream continues.........
space, gum trees, galahs, magpies, rosellas.
Peace, solitude, healing, compassion.

We need to define what it is we're on about.

"Retreat" doesn't work - it's such an overused word in our context, and somehow we're talking about more than retreating. It's not a retreat. It's a step forward. It's a positive thing. It's seeking connection and wholeness and spirituality. It's not retreating from it...

We've just been at an Alt Worship NOSH in Victoria. We stayed at a conference centre where we took over the place, created 'sacred spaces', self catered and basically did whatever we wanted. I was so inspired on various levels about the development of Riverdale in my head over the weekend.

I loved some of the smaller touches of the celtic crosses on a couple of doors, and the windows there looking out onto some bushland. The picture there was taken from a games room downstairs, and upstairs was a verandah with cafe style tables and chairs overlooking the bush too. Great stuff.

One of the major inspirations to me was a permanent labrynth! How amazing! I've not seen one as a permanent fixture in a garden before so I am pretty excited about this! It's pretty hard to capture in a photo though...

And one more thing! Again, I really liked the courtyard here - and that's something I love at Centennial Winery too. It's outdoors, it's community, it can be playful or prayerful, depending on the time and people.

Photos from the Abbey

These photos are from Jamberoo Abbey. I absolutely LOVE their chapel. It's big for what we would want, but particularly gorgeous.

Couldn't help adding a few more!

this is a partnership... this is a dream... this is a becoming reality...

a place of belonging... a place of connectedness... a place of hospitality...

a place to be quite... a place to be real... a place to honest...

Jesus: Living water.

"Run to the water and find me there - into the core of my brokeness" (Live)

Taking the time, the thought, the reflection - with a little assistance...

Gaining perspective. Gaining life. Quenching the thirst for water.

Beginning

Riverdale.

It began with the question "what do you REALLY want to do?"
Really?
